This guide explains how to integrate Microsoft Entra ID Free Tier with Dropbox Business and Zoho accounts for secure SAML-based Single Sign-On (SSO). It’s ideal for UK-based small businesses looking to centralise identity without Microsoft 365 licensing.
We’ll walk you through setting up Entra ID as the identity provider for both services, letting users log in using their Entra ID credentials with enforced security policies like MFA.

What You Need
- Microsoft Entra ID tenant (Free Tier)
- Verified domain (e.g.
yourcompany.co.uk) - Admin access to Dropbox Business and Zoho
Dropbox Business Integration
1. Add Dropbox App in Entra ID
- Go to Entra ID > Enterprise Applications > + New Application
- Search for “Dropbox Business” and add it
2. Configure SAML in Entra
- Go to the Dropbox application > Single Sign-On > SAML
- Download the Federation Metadata XML file
- Note the SSO URL and Entity ID
3. Configure Dropbox Admin Console
- Login to Dropbox Admin Console
- Navigate to Settings > Authentication
- Enable SSO and upload Entra ID metadata file
Zoho Integration
1. Add Zoho App in Entra ID
- Go to Entra ID > Enterprise Applications > + New Application
- Select “Non-Gallery” app and name it "Zoho"
- Manually configure SAML-based SSO
2. Configure SAML in Zoho
- Login to Zoho Admin Panel
- Enable Single Sign-On and paste the metadata or SSO URL details
3. Match Usernames
- Make sure Zoho and Dropbox usernames match their Entra UPN
- Example:
jdoe@yourcompany.co.uk
Free Tier Limits
- Up to 10 SAML-based applications are supported in Entra ID Free
- No group-based app assignment — assign users manually
